We writers are always trying to enhance our knowledge and of course, improve our writing techniques. If you are especially starting your writing career, you might have probably found yourself wondering about pretty much everything.

As amateur writers, we know nothing of this work, neither how to proceed in order to sell our book properly; nor the planning behind writing a novel. But we are not alone. A bunch of people once like us have made a living talking about the intrinsic road of book writing. Some of these people are respectable YouTubers who make our journey as eager writers a bit easier through the wonders of the internet.

When I started writing, I knew nothing. I remember that I had so many questions. I was overwhelmed. But that’s O.K., in fact, being a writer would partly mean that you’ll need to get used to research and that’s when YouTube comes in.

This YouTube channel has made my life so much easier. Since I discovered her, my time planning has helped me get the best out of my writing time. Jenna Moreci is a self-published writer who mainly writes Dark Fantasy books and is crazy about novels that include good romance stories, which makes her especially good at helping you achieve an accurate and moving love scene. Her videos are extremely funny, and she delivers the information with a smile.

She uses sarcasm and a comedic perspective to make her way into the curious part of you that awakens when something new is learned. Her pieces of advice have helped a lot of struggling writers to find the time and the way to succeed. Moreci’s videos are entertaining and will allow you to learn while having fun.

This particular YouTube channel is filled with very pragmatic content. His videos are always no longer than 10 minutes, and go straight to the point. Although short, his material is extra useful and it answers to the complex needs of an inexperienced writer. Chris Fox is a self-published author, he writes Sci-Fi novels and has published craft books about ‘’writing to market’’ and how to get ‘’5k per hour’’.

His analytical style makes him one of the best sources for this kind of content. His way of thinking is extremely useful for optimizing your writing productivity or when planning a release. Therefore, if you are looking for a short-informative YouTube video that will help you get to that place you crave as a writer, Chris Fox is your guy. Straight to the point, entertaining and useful… is there anything else to ask for?

3. Just Write

Sage Hyden’s channel, with over 500 K subscribers, Just Write is certainly useful for us when it comes to analyzing our books. The level of analysis on this YouTube site is amazing. They make analytical videos about movies, but form a writing perspective, covering topics like narrative, character arcs, and plot wholes. Viewing what Just Write has to say about book writing can expand your mind to a greater understanding and therefore dose you with a mental acuity that will be useful when editing your own work.

4. Heart breathing with Sara Cannon

Sara Cannon is a self-published author who mainly writes young adult supernatural mysteries. She has now sold over half a million books and it’s an incredible writer.

Their insightful and entertaining videos will give you a closer look into planning your novel dealing with aspects like the plotting process and the character sheets. When it comes to YouTube wisdom about the traditional publishing world, Alexa Donne wins the crown. It is the right place to learn everything about publishing, book editing, and even how to get a literary agent.

Donne is a traditionally published Young Adult author who has certainly made her way through the adventure of getting her books published, and now she shares all her best tips and tricks to succeed at this difficult task. Well, she doesn’t only focus on the writing process itself, but also on how to create a balanced, healthy life-style, achieving a mental wellbeing that will help you accomplish your dreams as a writer.

Abbie thinks it’s really important for writers to understand how the process of writing a novel works to be able to tell the story you have in you and make it matter. Perhaps the name is familiar to you, because Reedsy it’s a very popular platform that offers valuable resources for authors who are either seeking inspiration for their story or giving the first steps towards being published.

Their YouTube channel has over 500 videos explaining important topics in writing that range from uncommon editing and productivity tips to very useful how-to videos.

They really care about the information they deliver, and therefore, they usually invite bestselling authors for them to share their experience with new writers.
